Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: August 20, 2026

Welcome to Red Barn Creations LLC. These Terms and Conditions govern purchases, custom orders, design services, and use of our website. By placing an order, submitting a design request, approving a proof, or purchasing a product from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Custom and Personalized Products

We specialize in custom woodworking, engraving, CNC routing, laser engraving, and personalized products. Because many of our products are made specifically for each customer, custom orders may require additional information, artwork, photographs, measurements, wording, or other specifications before production can begin.

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate information when placing an order.

Custom products may include, but are not limited to:

  • Engraved signs and plaques
  • Personalized gifts
  • CNC-carved products
  • Laser-engraved products
  • Custom cornhole boards
  • Home and business décor
  • Memorial products
  • Awards and recognition pieces
  • Customer-designed or customer-supplied artwork projects

We reserve the right to decline any project that we determine cannot be produced safely, legally, or to an acceptable quality standard.

2. Custom Design and Artwork

Some custom orders require artwork or design work before production.

Design fees or artwork deposits may be required before design work begins. Unless otherwise stated in writing, design fees and deposits compensate us for the time involved in creating, modifying, and preparing custom artwork and may be non-refundable once design work has started.

The purchase of design services does not automatically include ownership of editable design files, production files, CNC files, vector files, laser files, templates, or other working files created by us unless specifically stated in writing.

3. Design Proofs and Customer Approval

When applicable, customers will receive a digital proof or other representation of the proposed design before the custom item is produced.

Custom products requiring approval will not be placed into production until the customer has approved the design.

It is the customer's responsibility to carefully review all proofs before approval, including:

  • Names and spelling
  • Dates
  • Addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Dimensions
  • Colors
  • Fonts
  • Placement and layout
  • Images and logos
  • Personalization details
  • Any other information included in the design

Once a customer approves a proof, that approval is considered authorization to begin production.

We are not responsible for errors contained in an approved proof, including spelling, grammatical, numerical, or design errors that were present when the customer approved the design.

Changes requested after approval may result in additional design or production charges and may delay completion of the order.

4. Customer-Supplied Artwork

Customers may provide photographs, logos, drawings, graphics, text, or other materials for use in a custom project.

By submitting these materials, the customer represents that they own the material or have permission to reproduce and use it for the requested purpose.

The customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary copyright, trademark, licensing, or other permissions.

We reserve the right to refuse artwork or content that we reasonably believe infringes another party's intellectual property rights or is otherwise unlawful.

5. Wood Is a Natural Material

Wood is a natural material, and every piece is unique. Grain patterns, knots, mineral streaks, coloration, texture, density, and other characteristics naturally vary from one piece of wood to another.

These variations are not considered defects.

Engraving, staining, painting, burning, and finishing may also appear slightly different depending on the characteristics of the individual piece of wood.

Digital proofs, photographs, product samples, and website images are intended to represent the general appearance of a finished product but cannot guarantee an exact match in wood grain, color, engraving depth, texture, or finish.

6. Laser Engraving and CNC Work

Laser engraving and CNC machining can produce slightly different results depending on the material being used.

Natural variations in wood and other materials can affect engraving color, depth, contrast, and appearance. Minor variations are expected and are part of the character of a custom-made product.

Unless otherwise agreed upon, reasonable variations resulting from the manufacturing process are not considered defects.

7. Pricing

Prices may vary depending on the size, material, complexity, customization, design requirements, quantity, finishing requirements, and production time associated with an order.

Quotes are based on the information available when the quote is prepared. Changes to the requested product or design may result in an updated price.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before production begins.

8. Deposits and Payment

Custom orders may require a deposit or full payment before design or production begins.

Unless otherwise stated, deposits applied toward a custom order will be credited toward the final purchase price.

Once custom design work or production has begun, deposits may become non-refundable because labor, materials, and production resources have already been committed to the order.

Any remaining balance must be paid according to the terms provided with the customer's order.

Products will not be shipped, delivered, or released for pickup until required payment has been received.

9. Changes and Cancellations

Customers should contact us as soon as possible if they need to change or cancel an order.

Orders that have not entered the design or production process may be eligible for cancellation.

Once custom design work, material preparation, engraving, cutting, painting, finishing, assembly, or other production work has begun, cancellation may not be possible.

Any refund for a canceled custom order will be determined based on the amount of work completed and materials already purchased or used.

10. Production Times

Estimated production times are estimates and are not guaranteed completion dates unless specifically agreed upon in writing.

Production time may be affected by:

  • Design revisions
  • Delayed customer approval
  • Material availability
  • Order volume
  • Equipment issues
  • Shipping delays
  • Weather
  • Supplier delays
  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Production timelines generally begin after all required information, deposits, and design approvals have been received.

11. Shipping

Shipping costs, when applicable, will be provided during checkout or as part of the customer's quote.

We take reasonable care when packaging products for shipment. Customers should inspect packages promptly upon delivery.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping container. These photographs may be necessary to process a shipping claim.

We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or incorrect addresses provided by customers.

Additional shipping charges resulting from an incorrect or incomplete customer-provided address may be the customer's responsibility.

12. Local Pickup

Orders designated for local pickup must be collected at the agreed-upon location and during the available pickup times.

Customers should inspect their order when receiving it whenever reasonably possible.

Orders that remain unclaimed for an extended period may be subject to storage fees or other arrangements after reasonable attempts have been made to contact the customer.

13. Returns and Refunds

Because personalized and custom-made products are created specifically for an individual customer, custom and personalized products are generally not eligible for return, exchange, or refund due to a change of mind.

If we make an error in producing an item that differs materially from the approved design or order specifications, please contact us promptly so we can review the issue.

Depending on the circumstances, we may repair, replace, reproduce, or refund an affected product at our discretion and as required by applicable law.

Natural variations in wood grain, color, knots, engraving appearance, or other characteristics of natural materials are not considered manufacturing defects.

14. Customer-Supplied Items

We may occasionally agree to engrave, cut, or modify an item supplied by a customer.

Working with customer-supplied materials involves inherent risks. Materials may react unexpectedly to lasers, CNC equipment, heat, cutting, engraving, adhesives, finishes, or other manufacturing processes.

When we agree to work on a customer-supplied item, the customer acknowledges the possibility that the item could be damaged or become unusable during the customization process.

To the extent permitted by law, our responsibility for customer-supplied materials will be subject to any specific terms agreed upon before accepting the project.

15. Product Care

Wood products can be affected by moisture, sunlight, heat, humidity, and temperature changes.

Unless specifically designed and sold for outdoor use, wood products should generally be kept indoors and away from excessive moisture or prolonged direct sunlight.

Customers are responsible for following any care instructions provided with their product.

Damage caused by improper use, storage, installation, handling, exposure, or maintenance is not considered a manufacturing defect.

16. Installation and Mounting

Some products may require mounting or installation.

Unless installation services are specifically included in the order, the customer is responsible for determining the appropriate hardware, mounting method, and installation procedure for the location where the product will be used.

Customers should use qualified professionals when appropriate.

We are not responsible for damage or injury caused by improper installation, mounting, modification, or use of a product, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

17. Intellectual Property

Original designs, photographs, graphics, templates, website content, product images, and other creative materials produced by Red Barn Creations LLC remain our intellectual property unless ownership rights are specifically transferred in writing.

Purchasing a finished custom product does not automatically transfer ownership of the underlying artwork, design files, templates, CNC programs, laser files, or other production materials.

18. Photography and Portfolio Use

Unless otherwise agreed upon, we may photograph completed products and use those photographs to showcase our craftsmanship on our website, social media, advertising, or portfolio.

We will make reasonable efforts not to publicly display sensitive personal information.

Customers who do not want their custom product photographed or displayed should notify us before the order is completed.

19. Colors and Digital Displays

Colors displayed on computer monitors, phones, tablets, and other electronic devices may differ from the actual finished product.

Wood species, stains, paints, finishes, printing, lighting, photography, and screen settings can all affect perceived color.

For this reason, digital representations should be considered approximations rather than guarantees of exact color.

20. Handmade and Custom-Made Variations

Many of our products involve a combination of computer-controlled equipment and hands-on craftsmanship.

Minor variations in dimensions, placement, engraving, finish, color, or appearance may occur. Reasonable variations that do not materially affect the intended function or overall design of the product are considered normal characteristics of custom-made work.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Red Barn Creations LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

22. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, pricing, and other website information are accurate.

However, errors may occasionally occur. We reserve the right to correct errors, update information, or modify product offerings and pricing as appropriate.

23. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including when an order involves unlawful content, suspected intellectual property infringement, unsafe materials, abusive conduct, fraudulent activity, or a project that cannot reasonably be completed with our available equipment or processes.

If we cancel an order before custom work has begun, payments made for unperformed work will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

24. Privacy

Customer information will be used as reasonably necessary to process orders, communicate about projects, provide customer service, and operate our business.

Payment information processed through third-party payment providers may also be subject to the privacy and security policies of those providers.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for additional information regarding how customer information is handled.

25. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will become effective when the revised Terms and Conditions are posted on our website unless otherwise stated.

The Terms applicable to an order will generally be those in effect when the order is placed, subject to applicable law.

26. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions and transactions with Red Barn Creations LLC will be governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
